Founder, Managing Partner
Kurtis Trevan is an active private market investor and strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the financial services industry. Today, he serves as the CEO of Nclude Capital, the only minority-owned private equity platform focused solely on promoting the minority-owned middle market through buyouts and growth equity capital. Trevan founded the firm in 2021, based in Grand Rapids, MI, to provide a capital solution for MBE-certified firms.
Prior to Nclude Capital, Trevan co-founded and served as the CEO of Gun Lake Investments, the private capital investment firm owned by the Gun Lake Tribe. He is a citizen of the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians, where he held various leadership roles since 2011, including serving as the Tribal Council Treasurer, focused on strategic, investment, and political affairs. He also served as the Treasurer of the Gun Lake Casino Board of Directors. The first half of his career was spent in commercial banking primarily lending to real estate, middle market, and venture capital backed firms in the Midwest and Silicon Valley.
Trevan has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University, a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Today, Kurtis spends his free time with his future wife, Karey, his son, Jackson, and two beautiful puppies, (Princess) Kaya and (Queen) Sadie. He continues to promote his passions through his board activity at Western Michigan University, Legacy Trust, Founders First CDC, Indian Country Media, and Grand Rapids White Water. He is a travel enthusiast, hopeful golfer, hack snowboarder, and amateur home chef.
